The team meets once a week on Monday afternoons for 1 hour to plan advertising, promotions, and publicity that will help achieve mutually agreed upon goals for Recreation Services.

Team members are compensated for meeting attendance and for the time it takes to complete various assignments identified at the meetings. Our team consists of a 7-9 person mix of students from all class years, majors and backgrounds. Who is the Team?!

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Marketing Team Leader: (no openings until Fall 2018)

Recreation Services’ Marketing & Media Team is looking for someone who ability to manage a team and has the drive to lead us through successful marketing campaigns. The Coordinator will create and schedule entertaining and creative content for Facebook and Instagram, as well as manage advertising in Kirby Sports Center through billboards, fliers and digital signage. The Coordinator also acts as the team’s administrator, monitoring the annual budget as well as creating the agendas for weekly meetings. The time requirement for this position fluctuates between 2-4 hours per week, including the weekly meeting. We need a student who is creative, team oriented and outcomes focused.

Graphic Designer: (no openings until Fall 2018)

Recreation Services’ Marketing & Media Team is looking for an artistic and creative Graphic Designer to join them. The Graphic Designer will accumulate, edit, create, and organize content for the Team to post on behalf of Recreation Services across various electronic media platforms plus produce new header images and icons as a part of bi-weekly refreshing of the electronic mediums. The creative work includes applying graphic design skills to creating new content and editing existing content plus organizing photo albums and photo files for the department. We need a student who is a creative thinker, team oriented and outcomes focused. The time requirement for this position fluctuates between 1-3 hours per week, including the weekly Team meeting where you will get your assignments and contribute to overall strategy.

Web Master: (no openings until Fall 2018)

Recreation Services’ Marketing & Media Team is looking for an experienced Web Master to join them. This person must know how to use all aspects of WordPress be capable of doing light photo / image editing. Terrific grammar and syntax will be appreciated. This person will be responsible to updating all aspects of the department web page and accumulating content for producing bi-weekly announcements on the main page. This person is also responsible for coordinating communications via the College calendar, REACH digital signage,  LAFSync and the Recreation Services app. This includes reporting on the user analytics. We need a student who is a creative thinker, team oriented and outcomes focused. The time requirement for this position fluctuates between 1-3 hours per week, including the weekly Team meeting where you will get your assignments and contribute to overall strategy.

Videographer: (no openings until Fall 2018)

Recreation Services’ Marketing & Media Team is looking for a Video Editor to join them. The Video Editor would be in charge of recording department programs and activities on-site and editing material into a variety of shorts to fuller length advertisements for the Team to post on behalf of Rec Services across various platforms. This person should have previous experience editing and will need to use DropBox or Google to share larger content. We need a student who is goal oriented and focused on production. The time requirement for this position fluctuates between 1-3 hours per week, including the weekly meeting. Social Media Coordinator:
