Lafayette College's Recreation Services offers fitness activities and intramural sports for students to encourage lifelong healthy habits.

 Aquatics

Lafayette swim facilities include a glistening six lane, 25 yard lap pool and a separate diving well with one-meter diving boards.  The aquatics staff offers safety trainings, learn to swim, and recreational swim programs, and water temperatures are maintained between 77-79 degrees.  You must be at least 12 years of age to use the pool without adult supervision.

Climbing Wall 

Are you a first time or novice climber? Join us for an experimental climbing experience on the 40-foot climbing wall, or take a rock climbing class and learn how to belay. You can also take part in special events at the climbing wall – always a hit!

Group Fitness

Programs at the fitness center include group classes that incorporate cardio and strength training, as well as flexibility and fun. You must be at least 12 years of age to participate in one of our Group FIT classes.

Individual Fitness

Hire a Lafayette personal trainer for customized instruction that incorporates cardio, strength and endurance training. You must be 16 years of age to participate in this training program.

Intramural Sports

With about 30 tournaments each school year, this is one of the most popular programs on campus. Students participate in a wide variety of sports and games.

Sports clubs at Lafayette are student-initiated and student-run organizations that depend on members who are fully involved in the club’s leadership, decision-making, and organization.
