Options for remaining active while "studying/working at home" are emerging everywhere. To support our exercise community during an unprecedented time in our world, Recreation Services has compiled a list of in-the-home workouts that we think you might enjoy.

Staying Physically Active During the COVID-19 Pandemic – American College of Sports Medicine

CARDIO & STRENGTH (Mixed)

  • FitnessBlender – Feature over 600 full length at home workouts. Quick, simple, and to the point. 
  • POPSUGAR Fitness – Fun, fresh, and upbeat at home workouts.
  • My Fit Pal – 7 minute workouts for those with minimal time plus this app can help with nutrition.  There is an app for this too
  • 7 Minute Workout: Fitness App A basic workout, seven minutes focused on your abs, or a seven-minute high-intensity sweat session.
  • Daily Workouts Fitness Trainer App Developed by a certified personal trainer who guides you through randomized workouts.
  • Sarah’s Day – Quick workouts aimed at sweating hard and burning fat. Generally around 15 minutes. 
  • Runner’s World – Maybe now is the time to train for that 5/10K! (under $10 per plan)
  • Orange Theory – Find a new workout from Orangetheory Fitness every day on YouTube. Each workout is 30 minutes long and plays uninterrupted. You won’t need any typical gym equipment for these workouts, but the trainers may utilize common household items, such as a can of coffee or a jug of water.  

CYCLING

  • Cycle Bar – Have a stationary bike at home? Hop on and follow along as CycleBar instructors lead you on Facebook Live. Class times vary, so check the page for details.
