The Lafayette College Crew Team performed very well this weekend at the Murphy Cup Regatta. The regatta was held on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, PA during quite cold and windy conditions.
The team had four boats make the finals, and two of these boats medaled including the Women’s Lightweight Four (silver) and the Men’s Varsity Pair (bronze). The Men’s Light Four finished just off the podium taking a close fourth place to a few very prestigious crews.
The team will be competing at Knecht Cup on April 9th and 10th in a similar multi-team regatta before racing in their only dual-meet of the season against Lehigh University on April 16th in Allentown, PA. Members of the Lafayette community are encouraged to come and cheer on the team in its most local event of the season. Lafayette Crew will then conclude it’s spring season at the Dad Vail Regatta on May 14th and 15th, also in Philadelphia.
